SSIDPOP is a program used to populate the OWNERDB & SSIDDB file with Owners and subsystem names. This program can be used to copy all the owners and SSIDs from your server’s non-resident template file to WVP E’s SSID repository. By default, SSIDDB file is populated with TANDEM and it’s SSIDs.
Instructions to run the SSIDPOP program:
RUN SSIDPOP <TYPE> <ARG2> <ARG3>
Argument | Options | Description |
TYPE | REQUIRED OWNER or TEMPLATE |
Specifies the type for argument 2 that will be passed in. |
ARG2 | OPTIONAL When TYPE is OWNER: Owner name. e.g. GEMINI DEFAULT:TANDEM REQUIRED When TYPE is TEMPLATE: template location. e.g. $SYSTEM.NSTEMP.PBM9TMPO |
Specifies either the owner or the template location. It is optional when TYPE is owner and defaults to TANDEM. Required when TYPE is TEMPLATE. |
ARG3 | OPTIONAL When TYPE is TEMPLATE: TEMPLI program location DEFAULT $SYSTEM.SYSTEM |
Specifies the location of the TEMPLI program. Defaults to $SYSTEM.SYSTEM |
- RUN SSIDPOP OWNER
- This command updates the SSIDDB file with TANDEM and it’s subsystems
- RUN SSIDPOP TEMPLATE $VOLUME.SUBVOL.NRESIDENT
- This command copies all the Owners and SSIDs from the server’s Non-resident template files.
Example:
- RUN SSIDPOP TEMPLATE $SYSTEM.NSTEMP.PBM9TMPO — > You can find the non-resident template location as shown below.
Please do a FUP PURGEDATA on SSIDDB & OWNERDB before you run this command.

This should populate the OWNERDB & SSIDDB file and you should see new owners and their SSID’s in the dropdown list.
